Don’t purchase

I bought this to seal a shower unit. Very frustrating as it had already cured in the tube and would not dispense. Returned it to store and was advised that a number of them had already been returned for the same reason! Expensive item the cheaper product worked better.

As product ages, it will thicken to the point of becoming difficult or impossible to use. At your convenience, please contact DAP’s Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477 so that we can obtain some additional information from you, when calling in, please have the product package and your receipt available, as we will need to collect production information from it (to verify the product's age) and so that we can reach out to the store where it was purchased, as DAP does not have direct control of stock rotation/inventory management at the retail store level. As indicated on the product package label and supporting product literature: "Wear rubber gloves” and “Clean up excess uncured sealant from surface and tools with mineral spirits. Scrape or cut away excess cured sealant." (signaling that this is not a soap and water clean-up product). Of note, the same guidance will be indicated on 100% Silicone formulas. Based on your feedback, it would appear that you may wish to consider an easier to use acrylic-latex (soap and water clean-up formula) such as DAP KWIK SEAL ULTRA.
