Very hard to squeeze out of tube

I guess I am the first to leave a review that is not part of an influencer site, and of course my review is not as glowing as those are. Purchased to seal grout in a shower after water proofing the grout. I found this product required a lot of squeezing of the caulking gun handle to apply the product. I was wondering if the product had dried up it was so hard but no it had not, it was just incredibly hard to get to move. Cutting a larger end on the tube did not change anything. I have never used a silicone caulk that required this much effort (my hand actually became tired) to apply. It spreads easily enough to smooth with a soapy finger, and mineral spirits makes for easy clean up but it was not dry to the touch in 30 minutes as the tube says, it was still sticky. I would not purchase again, would use a different high end silicone instead.

DAP AMP Advanced Modified Polymer Waterproof Kitchen, Bath and Plumbing Sealant is a fast cure, high performance sealant designed for challenging applications. Because it a "high solids content” formula, it will appear to be thicker than many of DAP's other products (i.e., KWIK SEAL, KWIK SEAL PLUS, both acrylic-latex/water-based kitchen & bath formulas). This characteristic translates to lower shrinkage and better single application joint/gap filling ability. It can also result in more force being necessary to apply the product. Other factors that can also impact the "gunnability" of the product, include the diameter of nozzle tip opening and performance capability of the caulking gun being used. Based on your feedback, you may wish to consider an easier to use acrylic-latex (soap and water clean-up formula) such as DAP KWIK SEAL ULTRA. I tried the DAP AMP Advanced Modified Polymer Sealant in my bathroom and was impressed with how easy it was to apply. It has a smooth consistency that made sealing edges around the tub quick and neat. I used it during the day, and it dried crystal clear, blending perfectly with the surfaces. It feels durable and waterproof, and so far, it’s holding up really well with no peeling or gaps. A great choice for kitchen, bath, or plumbing projects!
