I bought this because. Someone stole my basic hitch pin but did not steel my 3 ball hitch. When I put the locking hitch pin on I knew my hitch was secure.

Bought this to secure my hitch on a long road trip while overnighting in a few places. It survived the 2000 KM trip through many twisty and hilly and high speed roads. Only 4 stars given because the lock section is bulky and gets in the way of the loop where you hook the chains, there is another lock sold at CT that is less bulky but more expensive. I was able to connect the chain and remove it by sliding the lock off briefly.
