Hardly got to use them and they sheared in half. What a pile of junk. Obvious defect in manufacturing as there are other examples of the same issue.

the 1 star review with the broken pliers wasn't lying, bought a pair, took them out of the package, opened them and broke, returned then day of, wont be trying any more, need pliers i can trust, these are brittle, thank you to canadian tire for the excellent customer service and refund though

Actual garbage

Bought a pair to use in the kayak, pretty excited as I have the pliers of the same brand.
Took them out of the box and squeezed to open them and they snapped!
Returned to the store and wanted to get a replacement, so went back to the fishing aisle and gave a couple more a squeeze. One instantly broke again.
I'm no hulk, and they were broken with just my thumb and fore finger...
No, I do not recommend this product.

Great forceps

Excellent product, easily removed several swallowed hooks and released fish in good shape. The cutters work perfectly on mono and braid.
