These are great plant saucers. I like that they are flat so planter can sit evenly. I do also need a larger one - 12 inch - but didn’t see bigger in the store. Square ones would be good too since planters are often square bottomed now.

Q: I noticed that water tends to bead on the surface instead of absorb into the clay like other terra cotta pieces, and the label states "water resistant". Is there some sort of coating on the saucer? Is this food-safe?

Q: Does saucer size match pot size? For example, does a 20 cm suacer go with a 20 cm pot? Or should the saucer size be slightly larger than the pot?

  • A: The saucer size doesn't match the pot size exactly. In general, you need a saucer that is slightly smaller than the listed size of the pot. For example, a 20 cm pot will go with a 17 cm saucer.
