We needed new pots and pans, and as we have been very pleased with the performance and lack of wear and tear exhibited from the set of 3 Burgundy Paderno fry pans we bought at CT 2 years ago we sought out the matching cookware set. We were quite surprised to see it on sale and in stock and scooped a set up. Of note, we didn’t know that they are not recommended for use in dishwasher (which makes sense and is probably why the previously purchased fry pans still look new after 2 years, as we didn’t normally put them in the dishwasher as they are so easy to clean. We are seriously very pleased with them and believe the purchase to be great value for the money.

within a year handles are getting loose, finish flaking from the edges where lids make contact, and the frying pan is totally cooked even though it never saw more than medium heat

A: Yes the cookware is set up for induction. After we purchased our cookware, we performed a check on the cookware as advised by the stove manufacturer. We had a booklet advising how to do this. The cookware had a very high rating for use. We have had our cookware for over a year now and have had no issues.

Q: is this set dishwasher safe?

A: No - I wash the lids in the dishwasher but it says not dishwasher safe on the bottom of the pans. I didn’t see it initially and putting them in the dishwasher definitely seemed to affect the nonstick properties of the dish. That and heating up the pan without food or oil can wreck the pan. But they are excellent pans aside from having to wash them by hand (not an issue since nothing sticks to them!).

A: If you read the booklet documentation that came with your pan set, you completely void your warranty if you put these through the dishwasher.
