Right item, wrong photo/info, maybe not your issue

Item 060-6167-4 is the correct replacement auger belt for CT#: 060-0582 (i.e. Certified 18" corded electric snowblower) but, as another commenter noted, the image and product description currently on this page is inaccurate. I just went to a Canadian Tire store to purchase 060-6167-4 (with the old auger belt removed from my snowblower to make a comparison) and I can confirm it's the right product. It's smooth (i.e. not jagged/with teeth as in the photo), V-shaped, and the right length and width. However.... While this may be the right auger belt, it's possible this isn't your issue. If you open the left side of your unit (see page 24 in the instruction manual), have a close look at the Big Pulley. My problem is that the metal nut that holds the pulley in place and rotates the auger shredded the plastic pulley in heavier snow. Have a look at my photo and note how the plastic around the metal nut is melted/shredded. This Big Pulley is a cheap plastic part that is likely to go way before you have belt issues. While my belt was a little worn, it was still in good shape. If your motor sounds like it's on but it's not moving any snow, there's a good chance it's this Big Pulley part (page 25 in the manual) that needs replacing. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be currently available in stores. I'm trying to track it down via the service phone number provided with the snowblower. But Canadian Tire really should stock this part - it's the weak link in an otherwise affordable, low-powered but decent machine. The Big Pulley should be on their shelves, beside the auger belt and in greater quantities.

This belt is correctly identified as the replacement for the auger wheel belt for the Certified electrical snowblower 060-0582-0. The actual belt is V-shaped, 3/8 in across (slightly less if worn out) and approximately 23 in on the outside circumference. Not sure what "Certified" means in this context: 1) the belt width is 3/8, not as shown on the site as, 3 3/8 in 2) the photo shows a studded belt, which means the photo is not showing the correct item 3) the measurement of the size is shown as 12 3/4 in, which is not the outside circumference. My measurement was 23 in for the outside circumference. The metric measurements are just as misleading, even if they are correctly calculated. Either Certified wants to make a fool of themselves, or they use inaccurate information purposefully so that you cannot ever find a fitting belt anywhere else but at Canadian Tire in your lifetime. The item is worth around $ 6 and Canadian Tire would like to charge you 5 times that. These belts also wear out in under 10 hours of use.
