Lots of work, but was easy to build

At first, the 36 step guide and four double-sided parts list seemed very overwhelming. But once my friend and I figured out the code, the set was very easy to put up with all the parts very well labeled. The wood was in excellent condition with very well-drilled holes. I have to palm-sand the finished structure on some corners, but it's not terrible. The stain is nice - not as dark as the picture. The wood came in well organized boxes and well-labelled instructions. Everything worked like a charm except for one small piece of decorative wood splitting, but aside from that - no major problems. My one friend who weighs 160 stood on the second level for some time during assembly, so it looks like a very solid, sturdy structure. All the neighbour kids are very excited to start playing on it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND not taking the wood out of the boxes until you need the wood - as there is a lot of wood, and keeping everything in the original package helps. Do the inventory count at beginning, but leave it in the original box. Have fun!

Mes trois enfants l'adorent ainsi que les amis du cartier je recommande fortement ce module de jeux solide lorsque bien encré au sol.

Great play set!

We purchased this set for our two children - age 2.5 and 10 months. It has provided hours of fun already. We swapped out one of the belt swings for a baby swing for now so our 10 month old can enjoy it too. The addition of the monkey bars on the back make it a good set that our children can grow with. It wasn't difficult to put together either, if you follow directions. Everything is labelled well. The instructions say 8-10 hours of assembly with 2 adults...I would say 8-10 hours with no kids. If you're also chasing kids around the yard, expect it to take a few days...we completed it in about 4-5 days of getting out there and assembling pieces when we could.

Q: Do you need to assemble with the monkey bars? or can they be left out and added at a later time? Will the structure still be well supported without the monkey bar section?
