Year bought: 2011-2012 on a sale. Most bang for the buck

I think it was an end of season sale. It may have been 40% or more off. I found it a bit on the heavy side (previous Canondale bike got stolen). Some of the gears didn't change smoothly and make that clicking noise. Breaks well. Both tires had slow leaks, so I had to keep pumping air periodically. Meanwhile my bike stuff was in storage. With the savings I changed the seat, got fenders, rear rack, bells n whistles, etc. Got it out of storage, gonna fix the leaks, and I'm now shopping for an ebike kit for it. Bottom line is, a great value for this purchase back in '11-'12

Yes, I recommend this product.

Decent Bike

I bought this bike 2 weeks back. Its a nice strudy bike. The Seat could be more comfortable though. Also both the pedals broke withing a week. I have dropped it at the Canadian Tire store for pedal replacement as it is covered in Warranty. Hoping they put better quality pedals and nothing else breaks so easily in the future.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Poor quality rims, ok frame

This bike has a good size frame and with the front shock is reasonable. My issues with the bike are the single wall rims that are on the bike. I purchased this bike for my son who is 110 lbs (50kg) and on his first ride with the bike the rear rim warped so badly it was not fixable. I replaced the rim with a double walled rim for about $40. This rim should last as it is a much better quality rim. On my sons second ride the front disc brake stripped loose from the axle. The Canadian Tire Store where I purchased the bike, replaced the front wheel as this was a warranty issue. The rims, in my opinion, are poor quality aluminum and are not covered under warranty so you should be prepared to replace them if you choose to purchase this bike.

No, I do not recommend this product.
