Le barillet de la serrure tombe par terre

J'acheté ce produit le 18 juillet 2020. J'en étais satisfait jusqu'à samedi dernier le 13 mai 2023. Après avoir installé mon rack à vélo sur mon auto, j'ai mis la barrure sur le boulon. Lorsque j'ai voulu retiré la clé de la serrure, tout le barillet est tombée par terre : le barillet est sorti de son trou et tombé. Cependant, la barrure est demeurée en place et bien solide : je ne pouvais plus enlever le boulon. Je ne pouvais donc plus enlever mon rack de l'auto. Le dimanche 14 mai 2023, je suis allé à mon magasin Canadian Tire de Pointe-Aux-Trembles. La garantie du manufacturier était bien sûr expirée. J'ai demandé à ce que la garantie légale pour un tel produit soit respecté. La gérante du magasin m'a répondu que Canadian Tire ne s'occupe pas de la garantie légale. Je suis déçu. J'aurais aimé que CDN Tire m'offre, au moins, de couper gratuitement le boulon et si possible de remplacer gratuitement la barrure.

Put this on my 1 1/4 inch hitch with a Sportrack locking bike rack on it. I feel it is secure. It seemed to get stuck when I started but I then used a ratchet and it went on no problem at all. I am confident it will keep my hitch safe, it's nice and tight.

Not compatible with XTC tilt rack

I tried this with the Swagman XTC tilt rack and it was not compatible. Despite being the right size, the pin would not thread past a certain point. Disappointed and had to return.
