Q: Would a standard 6 foot bar be compatible with this or only the 7 foot?
4 years agoA: As far as I know only a 7 foot bar will work properly. I haven't been able to find one yet and have just been using dumbbells.

Q: With this bench are the support racks adjustable so you can use for doing squats?
4 years agoA: Hi Georgie, yes the racks are adjustable but I wouldn’t rely on them for squats. You will have to go into deep squat position in order to pick up the weight. Moreover, there is not enough space since the rack is attached to the bench. But depending upon height, shorter people might be able to pull it off. I am 5’11 and I can’t do it with heavier weights. But this is good bench for bench press if assembled properly.

Q: Can this Cap Barbell Olympic Bench fold up for storing, when not in use? Or does it have to stay as is and take up space on the floor?
5 years agoA: The Cap Barbell Olympic Bench does not fold up for storage when not in use. It stays in place on the floor. The Bowflex 3.1S Stowable Bench #184-0046 folds for storage but is not Olympic compatible .
