Do not recommend!

Loved this unit at first. We had it on our main level for awhile and mostly used it for looks. However we have recently moved our bedrooms to the basement so our 8 month old can have his own room next to ours. As it is cooler in the basement we moved this fireplace into the baby’s room to keep it warm at night. When initially turned on it shows the current room temp of 66 while warming up it makes a clicking on and off sound like a signal light. Once it reaches the set temp or 72 it turns off and doesn’t seem to ever turn back on to keep the room temperature up. I’ve turned the unit off and on again and it still says the room temp is 72 (when it is obviously much cooler). Which I then have to wait a awhile for it to reset and then turn it back on again. Not ideal for this use at all and I am very concerned with the clicking sound that it is not safe to have in our babies room. The Blue temperature display is also extremely bright and there is no option to dim this which isn’t very handy when trying to get this thing to work at 2am

No, I do not recommend this product.

Fireplace TV stand

Love the clean lines and sleek look. The fire itself is a bit meh, and we had to fix the rotator to stop the scraping noise, but otherwise it's lovely. White glove delivery service was terrible though.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Love it!

I bought this fireplace a few days ago. It took my husband and I about 2 hours to assemble it, taking our time and not rushing. It is easy to assemble but not a lot of written instructions, mostly pictorials, look at everything carefully. Make sure you read ahead a bit to the next step as this helps understand the assembly. I bought it on sale, I don't think I would have paid full price. It is sturdy and works well which I hope it will continue to do. I am very happy with this purchase.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Are there two sliding doors or just one?

5 Answers
  • A: I don't know why Canadian Tire Team is saying there is only one sliding door. I have just recently purchased this fireplace and it most definitely has two sliding doors, as Geoff above also says.

Q: When I turn on the fireplace I get and E0 error after it beeps three times. It will blow hot air in boost setting but not with the flame. How do I fix this?

2 Answers
  • A: Hi Eric, It can operate boost for a few seconds before it beeps three times and shuts off. No doors are covering the sensors when I try to turn it on. We bought it as a floor model and they assured us that it worked. We unfortunately did not test it in store when we picked it up.

Q: How do you adjust temperature settings to blow warm air? I have set the Thermostat at 30c (much higher than the current room temperature) but no warm air is coming out. It blows warm air out if we set it to the BOOST setting.

1 Answer
  • A: Chrissy, Sorry that you are having issues with the firebox. This does not sound like user error and possibly a thermostat issue. Please try to reset the firebox to the factory settings by holding down the power button for 3 seconds and then turn on again. Hopefully resetting the firebox fixes the problem. If this doesn't work please call the customer service number 1-833-907-1099. Our friendly Customer Service Team will help you trouble shoot the issue and will get you up and running quickly. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Eric

Q: When you turn it on is it supposed to make a noise constantly? Is it supposed to be the sound of a fire or is there something wrong.I don"t know?

1 Answer
  • A: If the noise is made without the heater, then it could be resulting from the flame generator. If the noise is made while the heater operates, then it could be resulting from the blower. Please contact customer service at 1-888-463-5698 or customer@homestarna.com to replace a new part.
