This is discontinued but I'm so mad I'm reviewing anyway. I normally discount one or two bad reviews. There are already two bad reviews.
Firstly, 1 1/2 years old the thing is dead. Ok ive fixed computers, stereos vehicles. Flip it over they use special screws heads that is no screwdriver you have. You can't open unless your going to make a big project of it. Secondly plastic final drive gears. Thirdly it revs up and down and leaves chunks after a long time. At first I thought it was just mine but others say thats how it works. It makes me sick to throw it out but my wife said don't even fix it. I always fix things but this one goes straight to electronic waste.

Not a bad blender

Have it for a few years now (!)
Regular home use - not every day but regularly
Does a good job with any task - ice cubes, shakes, etc
Bit heavy glas jar and plastic "gears" ( but luckily still in good shape) as negative note
As positive -easy to use ,easy to clean .
Bought it on sale of course and I think for the price I've paid its a good product.

I wouldn't recommend this to an enemy never mind a friend. First the plastic grooves that fit the top into the bottom stared to crack one by one, then after about a year the motor just died. Really, at the price this is a piece of junk. I bought another brand name blender for over a $100 less. Breville? FOGEDDABOUDIT.
Oster makes several models at varying prices AND importantly , sells replacement parts online.
