Good quality CPVC (not PVC)

I bought this from CanTire 12 years ago for a water system for the garden (not in-ground). Important for all those who do not know the difference: this is CPVC, not PVC! It is higher pressure and temperature rated, and more durable in sunlight than PVC because it has extra chlorine in it. It is NOT the same as PVC and deliberately has a different fitting (there are special adapters, just not available in Canada). The glue also has to say CPVC, which also works with PVC. Do not use PVC glue for this! This is why there's also a price difference! Do not use PVC in sunlight exposed areas (or PEX). Use CPVC, or copper!

Do Not Buy!

There are no fittings that fit this pipe. The outside diameter of this pipe is slightly bigger than the standard so regular connectors don't fit. How can they sell this stuff! Go to the orange store and get the proper size pipe.

Doesn’t fit 3/4” pvc

I don’t know what’s going on here but it does not fit 3/4 PVC components. Went and picked up 3/4 somewhere else it worked fine…. Confused…..

Pipe’s fine - useless w/o fittings CT doesn’t sell

The pipe itself is perfectly good, but after I bought it, I discovered that I can’t buy pipe fittings for it, so what use is it to me? Can Tire sells the pipe but NO fittings for it and I can’t find fittings that actually fit this anywhere. I will be returning it. Shame on you CanTire for not stocking at least the most basic fittings for this pipe so it can be used.
