This saw is precise and easy to use which were my main criteria when shopping. I like the front controls because when mounted on a full-sized stand, it's not that easy to reach rear controls on these larger sliders, especially with larger material sitting on the bed. There are a couple of features lacking that many competitors have including soft-start which doesn't mean a whit to me - especially with a ten inch blade. The other is the lazer which I didn't think I'd miss, having had one before. However, upon use, I find I do miss it a little bit - for the quick rough cuts where you just want to slap the material on the bed and chop. Not a big deal though as the overall quality and precision and use is excellent. The one complaint I do have is that the dust bag does not collect enough sawdust. Most of it gets scattered widely on the floor. My old mastercraft 12" does a much better job of collecting dust but that may have somethign to do with the fact that it's not a slider? or has a 12" blade? Call me a ninny, but I feel like this feature should be improved because while I use it in an area where a little sawdust doesn't matter, it seems like I am cleaning it up more often, and from a wider area than I should be. Don't want to leave this on a sour note by any stretch though- excelent machinery - I would recommend to anyone. It's all about precision!

Bought this saw based on other online reviews (other sites) and it's worth every penny. High quality build, almost everything is metal. Saw cuts like a dream and setting angles is super easy and all done from the front! No reaching around the back to set the second angle. Everything moves really smooth. Saw has zero play once set, for accurate cuts everytime, don't need a laser. Dust bag gets about 1/2 the dust, will try the shop-vac attachment soon and see if that does better. The oem blade is just for rough cuts, you'll need a finishing blade for smooth cuts. This saw is usually priced a lot higher in hardware stores, great buy.
