It's good on some things, not so good on others. It lubricated the door track but the wheels still stick.

Q: Suitable for a table saw surface?

      • A: It’s okay. Your first choice however should be paste wax! First remove all oil and dirt before applying the wax. You could buff it after application

Q: can I use this on my band saw bearing

      3 Answers
      • A: We recommend that the recommendation of the owner's manual for your band saw be followed. If a light-duty (non-grease) lubricant is recommended, TDL woul;d be an excellent choice.

      • A: The carrier for the Teflon powder has a strong solvent smell, but it evaporates very quickly. The Teflon itself is odorless.

Q: does this contain petroleum substance in the mix?

      3 Answers
      • A: Not as an active ingredient. The carrier for the Teflon is a petroleum derivative which evaporates completely in a few moments.

Q: Hello. Does this product contain silicone? Thanks

      2 Answers
      • A: No silicone, It's a dry lubricant of unknown formula, however, Teflon was the main ingredient until 2021, so it's not as good as it used to be.

Q: Can I use this to lubricate my vintage sewing machine in place of 3-1 oil?

      2 Answers
      • A: Sorry to say, but for a Singer neither is truly a suitable lubricant. Both will require very frequent reapplication—think in terms of minutes—to actually give decent protection against wear. The relatively often and quickly moving parts of a sewing machine will wear off the micro-thin dry coating of PTFE in rather short order. A synthetic "tacifier" in the form of synthetic grease or synthetic oil is needed to keep it in place. A well formulated synthetic grease or synthetic oil with PTFE would best lubricate any sewing machine. Just for example: Have been using Super Lube® Multi-Purpose Synthetic Lubricant with Syncolon® (PTFE) {Part No. - 31040] on my wife's Singer since new. The machine is now over 38 years old. Super Lube® Multi-Use Synthetic Oil with Syncolon® (PTFE) [Part No. - 51010] also works well, especially for use on an electric sewing machine motor that is to be periodically lubricated. LOCTITE® ViperLube® Clear High Performance Synthetic Grease (LB 8034) is also excellent, but, unfortunately, doesn't come in a spray can formulation, or in a 6 cc or 1/2 oz. or 1 oz. dispenser package. However, it does come in a 1 cc non-recloseable packet and a 3 oz. recloseable dispenser tube. SynLube™ Lube-4-Life® UNIVERSAL Synthetic Grease works wondrously well, but, unfortunately, doesn't come in a spray can formulation, or in a 1 cc (non-recloseable packet) or 6 cc or 1/2 oz. or 1 oz. dispenser package. Not to be being an advertisement, but a Singer deserves much better than 3-in-1 Oil or B'laster Dry Lube.
