This iron works great but the handle design leaves something to be desired. I have small hands and I found it hard to hold on to because the handle is slippery and my hand kept sliding up towards the top and when that happened I would hit the temperature button and move the temperature up and that is not good. I still like my B&D Digital Advantage iron better and wish I could get another one.

Dial is printed upside down so is very confusing

This iron is very well made but has one flaw that I consider significant. The settings on the dial are printed upside down so that when you turn the dial You Think You Are reading the setting but in fact you are not the bump on the body that indicates the setting is above the dial and can't be readily seen. When you try to align the dial numbers with the bump, the numbers are all upside down so it doesn't make sense. The dial might look good on a blueprint but it's upside down for the user.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Not near as good as the Digital Advantage iron

Had a digital advantage iron for 10 years and it was the best iron I ever had. Needed to replace it, but couldn't find any so bought an Allure Digital Iron. Really seems to have issues. The temperature setting is in a place that my hand rests and it changes as I iron- really a poor design. The auto shut off comes on when I am ironing a long seam on a quilt with steam unless I pick the iron up off the fabric?? Seems strange and annoying. Sometimes when I plug the iron in, the display shows black or blank and doesn't show the settings unless I unplug and plug it in again. Not sure if they all do this or if this iron has problems. Bought it when I was out of town, so not sure how to solve the problems. Really sorry the digital advantage seems to be unavailable, it was a much better design and iron. Tons of steam

Iron is easy to use just press the type of material your going to iron and go. Big slot to pour in water. It's just great!!!
