These work well any time of the year. They don't freeze up in winter and in summer the heat doesn't seem to hurt them. I keep a bottle in my kayak all the time. Sometimes that little extra meat is what you need on a lure. In winter these are great on their own with a 3mm or 5mm tungsten jig head.
