The product works as advertised. I found it works best by fully cleaning and degreasing the metal two times over, any oils or residues at all will result in a blotchy finish. Wear gloves, apply, wait 3 minutes, dowse in water, dry off, then apply again.
I had best results when the degreaser and the bluing product were applied with 0000 steel wool to loosen off rust and buff the metal lightly. Once fully rinsed and dried, coated heavily in Ballistol for 24 hours. Wipe off the excess and you should have a nice, dark finish.

Excellent product ! The best cold blue I have used yet. Follow directions and you will be impressed. Complete degreasing of part is very important to achieve an excellent finish. Very durable after blue has cured for at least 48 hours.

I bought this for a small project, wanting a cold blue/black durable finish and this is awesome! I can't attest to the durability but the application and color is exactly what I was looking for. Couldn't be easier and a small but goes a long way.
