Very revealing

This device will give you an insight into the effectiveness of your home, business or other building's ventilation system. Most older buildings are nothing more than poorly ventilated boxes that rely on leakage of their envelopes to provide fresh air. If you are satisfied with the status quo and are not bothered by breathing in other peoples exhaled aerosols (containing infectious bacteria and viruses) or the off gassing of the plastics and paint or the build up of mold spores in your building spaces, then you will not find any value in this device. However, if you are concerned about your heath and well being, then this will help inform you about deficiencies of the HVAC systems of buildings in which you live, work and play. That information will inform your behaviour and might even encourage the upgrade of HVAC systems.
The Aranet4 allows you to monitor and track carbon dioxide concentration and humidity, which are generally correlated with building air quality. Other testing by professional air quality personnel would be required to determine the specifics of air quality issues.
This is a quality instrument at a reasonable price and I recommend it as a useful tool.

Best monitor I have ever had and it’s portable!

I have a couple CO2 monitors and the Aranet4 is by far the best and most portable with amazing battery life! You will be surprised at how a large place can have a much higher CO2 limit with less people then a smaller more properly ventilated place does.

Great CO2 monitor

A remarkable little device. We have started using it to monitor CO2, and it seems very accurate. We were at a small indoor concert with 60 people and closed windows, the CO2 went up above 2200! People were falling asleep first half. I shared the info with the concert organizers - they opened all windows and doors for the second half. And then the ppm did not exceed 500 (and no one fell asleep), despite all those people crammed in. So, a useful device - and the concert hall will use the data provided to apply for a grant for HVAC upgrade.
