replacements for lids for the cheaper ones that come with the bowls, which break after 1 year. they appear to be heavier duty than the original ones.

A: Hello RuBha! We are unable to confirm your question as Anchor Hocking and Pyrex are two separately owned brands. However, but assured that Anchor lids should always fit an Anchor dish.

Q: Taking container from freezer the lids are hard to remove and some have begun to split. Do they need to be soaked in warm water first? I always wash lids by hand. These are the small red 1 cup/236ml, yet no problem with the larger sizes.

A: To avoid this issue, allow the lid to come to room temperature prior to removing. For proper care of the glass , allow the food load to thaw prior to oven or microwave use.
