Q: Could it load a T-Cat 1000 ATV?
15 years agoA: This trailer has a load rating of 833 lbs. not 1500 but the Cat only weighs about 750 lbs. so OK there. The problem is that this trailer is only 6 ft. long and the Cat is over 7 ft.

Q: Are you able to attach plywood to the sides and front to increas wall height? I'm looking for a trailer that I can attach plywood to the sides and front so I can carry items that are taller then the sides of this trailer currently. Am looking to see if it is possible to add plywood to the sides of this trailer to make walls.
8 years agoA: This product is no longer available at Canadian Tire, a galvanized version is available (040-8092). The walls of this trailer are stronger and riveted right to the frame, enabling a higher capacity. This trailer also features a ramp gate that is higher than the side walls of the trailer, so it can accommodate larger items

Q: HOW LONG IS THE TRAILER TONGUE? I was also wondering if you have a similar trailer that is 5 ft long with a ramp?
9 years agoA: We believe this trailer has a tongue that measures approximately 44” (111 cm), however as this item is Discontinued, we are no longer able to verify or confirm this measurement. If your local Canadian Tire store has inventory, we would suggest verifying in-store. Within our current product selection, we would recommend a Stirling Galvanized Open Rail Trailer, available at your local Canadian Tire as Product #040-8092. This trailer measures approximately 4x6’ with a payload capacity of 1,190 lb (529 kg). And it comes in a premium galvanized finish!

Q: Will this trailer accommodate a 4 ft wide sheet of plywood between the side rails?
11 years agoA: Yes, this trailer can accommodate up to 8 sheets of ¾-inch plywood that are 4’ wide. The true, usable dimension of the trailer bed is 4-ft wide and 6-ft long. Please note, the top tube of the side rails narrow the trailer bed dimensions and will not accommodate the load at this height – the top tube is 6-inches above the trailer bed. Additionally, if your load is longer than 6-ft, you will have to fold the trailer ramp into the bed, which will consume some of the 6-inches of available height at the 4x6 dimensions.

Q: does the back gate fold down? can it be removed?
12 years agoA: Yes, the rear gate can fold. It can fold outwards and be used as a loading ramp, or fold inwards into the bed of the trailer. As the gate is very versatile, we do not recommend removing the gate.
