I highly recommend this boat to anyone. We bought two about 6 years ago and they are still going strong. We are adding a few more to the stable of summer toys for those friends who are new to the ways of lake leisure and show up without a flotation device. You can comfortably get two adults per sharkboat, or one adult and a cooler. The sharkboat is durable and steady, perfect for river floating. The bottom inflates as well, so when floating in late August/ low water, smacking into rocks isn't as painful as it might otherwise be. We keep a watch for when these bad boys go on sale because they're quite simply the bomb when it comes to leisure floating.

Good value & quality

I bought this last summer and so far have used it 5-6 times; it seems very durable and there are no problems. The material is fairly thick. We tend to use it dry as much wet--it is very comfortable to sit in by the campfire ("Where's boatcouch?") A pump is required to inflate it, or you'll pass out. Do get the proper paddles, and don't try to get by on just one!

I bought this little inflatable for my kids, aged 10 and 6. It was this on the Intex Explorer 200. I got this on sale for about 50% off and at that price it seems worth it. This boat is definitely not worth buying at full price. The boston style valves are nice and make for a quick fill, although deflating is a little tricky and it's difficult to get all the air out. The description says three person boat, but two kids is about right. I would was able to fit in with one of my kids, definitely not the three of us.

Q: ocean/beach going how ocean/beach worthy is it? I'm surrounded by more beaches then rivers and would probably want to take it out into somewhat deeper water then would be excpected in a river.
