Disappointing way to order an item

It’s available on the website and through the store, however, the store is unable to order it. Why? No one in the store can give an answer as to why. So I ordered it online. This was the only way to get it. Time passed, 2-3 weeks, then I get an email saying the order was cancelled. 😠 I asked a manager and he honestly didn’t know why. I ordered it again and two weeks later, the same thing happened. Called Canadian Tire online support line. The guy on there was able to tell me what happened. It looks like they could not find it in any store and then they found out that none of their warehouses had any. Good thing about this was that I didn’t loose the bonus $40 CT money because it wasn’t me who cancelled the order. That’s a policy of the Triangle points. Good to know. It would be nice if Canadian Tire would give the valid truth of why the order is cancelled, instead of leaving a customer frustrated and in disappointment of not getting the item they need.
