Mine was a RoadPro unit much the same

I bought a 12v Koolatron or RoadPro car heater at CT and it worked great. Would like another. Had no problems with fuses. Bring these back please. I had no problems with this. Good Heat for what it was. Think these are 150w or 200w. These are easily detachable. So you can bring them inside if you do not want to leave them out in the cold. If it is really cold outside they may be a little harder to start. They are ceramic so best to bring them in on the really cold days. No problems then.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

      General question

I bought a heater, probably at CT, a few years ago. I had a Dodge minivan and it blew fuses. It was rated 13 amps and it blew 25 amp fuse and even the 30 amp fuse. i figured it was faulty and threw it out. A year or so a go, I bought another for a Chev MH and it also blew 25 amp fuse. It doesn't blow the 15 amp inline fuse. Any explanation?

No, I do not recommend this product.

      12V Window Defogger

I wasn't expecting a night and day difference, but the only difference between when I plugged it in and got half way down the road is that it wrecked the cigarette lighter. It didn't blow the fuse, this thing wrecked it worse than that

No, I do not recommend this product.

Melted unit and cord in less than 15 min

I'm glad I decided to plug it in on the passenger side floor to test it before I mounted it to my dash with the sticky tape. I plugged it in in the parking lot and started driving home, putting my hand in front of it a couple of times to check that it was still working. It started blowing hot air quickly after turning it on (under 30 seconds.) It blew gently, but it was good and warm. Checked it with my hand a couple minutes later, still blowing. Checked it again about 10-15 minutes later after feeling that the cord was very hot along the entire length of it from the cigarette plug to the unit, and it was no longer blowing. It wasn't plugged into a splitter or extension or anything, nothing else was plugged into the cigarette lighter. The lighter functions properly and is on a 2012 car with no electrical/battery/alternator issues. I returned it to get my money back. I have thought about buying another one and disassembling before I even plug it in to upgrade the cheap stock power cable with heavy duty 10/2 gauge wire either direct wired to battery (with fuse), or connected to a quality high-amp cigarette plug that connects securely without play and resistance. I'll probably direct wire it because I'd be worried it'd melt my vehicles cigarette plug wiring.

No, I do not recommend this product.

      No Go

At best the unit ran but was not strong enough to do much. We live in Vancouver so there is not usually a problem with with the cold so I was just looking for a defogger. It took a long time to do nothing and now it doesn't work. I am good at taking care of purchases and following instructions, but this was a let down.

No, I do not recommend this product.
