How to replace or repair tail lights

7 STEPS

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

STEP 1

Locate the faulty bulb

STEP 2

Remove fasteners from lining

On the inside of your trunk, remove the fasteners holding the trunk lining against your tail lights. Pull back the trunk lining itself to access the tail light housing.

STEP 3

Remove the bulb assembly from the lens with a twist

STEP 4

Pull the bulb out of the socket

STEP 5

Insert the new bulb into the socket

STEP 6

Re-install the bulb assembly into the tail light lens

Twist it clockwise to lock into place.

Reinstall trunk lining

Pull the trunk lining back up into its original position and re-secure the fasteners.
