    Works great

Alot of the bad reviews on here seen to be from people who tried doing it themselves with no clue or had a "pro" do it wrong. I installed a used unit manufactured in 2005 2 years ago and it still works great. Alot of problems people have is with install. DO NOT USE 3M TAP IN CRIMP CONNECTORS!!! I used only but connectors and weatherproof heat shrink tubing. I found the on-line DIY info to specific make/model very helpful, but its not 100% accurate. Some knowledge of automotive electrical is necessary and access to manufacture wiring diagrams help too.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Installed this unit in my old pickup myself. Wouldnt recommend trying to install it yourself unless you have alot of time on your hands or are a mechanic. Works well, wish the key fob told you when the vehicle successfully started. Installation for me took maybe 8 hours over two days, But I had never installed one before. Im also a first year apprentice mechanic.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Cheap start, expensive installation

Price of start of special is a bargain, but beware of the installation charges. My local Canadian Tire charged $339.99+tax for the installation (and I even declined the door lock option!!)

No, I do not recommend this product.

    • A: So I bought this and the module. What they don't tell you is that you need a computer with an XKLoader and VIP4.2 software. This is not a DIY. Returning both..

    • A: You will need a 34-0766 PKALL to override the transponder. As per installation, I cannot tell you if you can do it or not as I don’t know your technical abilities. Please check your local Canadian Tire store for an installation quote.
