ive had it sitting in a bucket of water for over 2 weeks and has not dissolved yet, I even go in there and mix it up periodically. ive tried putting it in a sock and hanging into the pool for over a week as well and not dissolving into the pool either.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Keep your pool clean longer and save on chlorine or the level you have to run your chlorine generator. Simple to test and easy to add just dump it in the skimmer with the pool running.

  • A: I am using it in my hot tub. I cannot answer if it is the same as the other product as I am not familiar with the other product. I am not able to read the label to see the ingredients at the time I am answering this

Q: A suggested level of stabilizer is 30-60ppm. I have an 80,000-liter inground pool with a current reading of 0ppm. One bottle will raise the stabilizer level by 1ppm. Do I put in 40 bottles of this product?

  • A: Stabilizer dissolves very slowly so you usually put it in a sock like this one (or white pantyhose) and tie the sock closed so it can’t spill out. You then hang it from a string off your pool ladder and leave it. It’ll dissolve over days/weeks. Q: How long does it take to dissolve and what type of test strips can I use to test my stabilizer levels?

  • A: If placed in the skimmers it takes a couple hours, depending on your flow. I use the aquacheck chlorine test strips for the stabilizer.

Q: Can you swim with the granules floating around and on the bottom or do you have to wait for them to dissolve completely?

Q: What is the active ingredient in this stabilizer, is it Cyanuric Acid? I always get a reading of 0 for stabilizer on my AquaCheck test strips

Q: How should you add this product to an above ground pool? The bottle does not give clear instructions. I tried to dissolve in a bucket but that didn't work. I poured it into the pool and it's just sitting on the bottom now.

  • A: If you have a cartridge filter you can pour it in the skimmer. Otherwise put in in a sock and hang it in the return jet to dissolve. It usually will take a few dats to dissolve

  • A: Hi, yes no problem. If you use the duo puck as your main sanitizer, at the begining of the season you can raise your stabilizer level around 30 ppm with the Aquarius Stabilizer. The stabilizer integrated in the Duo Puck will cover ther rest. Thank you
