Battery died and very difficult to find.

Got this for Christmas but didn’t use it until June. The battery was dead. Too late to return it and almost impossible to find a replacement battery. Very poor choice of battery. They should have designed it for a more common battery.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Is it waterproof? Could I leave it out in the rain?

A: Not really - I have ridden in heavy rains and the computer shuts off. I suspect it's because water gets in the sensor because when I was pressing the mode switch the computer would light up, but read 0 even thought the bike was moving. Also water gets in via the switches and may fog up the display, in severe cases it can even cause dead spots in on the display. If this happens it's best to remove the battery and let the unit dry for a day or two.

A: Yes. You just have to input your wheel diameter in millimeters and it will do all the calculations.

Q: Is it easily removable from the bike? I wouldn't want it to be stolen. Does it have a quick release latch or something?

A: The speedometer main unit can be removed quickly manually by sliding it off the fastened clamp on the handlebars; you press down on a flap piece of plastic, and you can slide the main unit off, without removing the fastened clamp. The clamp would have to be removed by removing a Phillips screw. The wire and electronic apparatus on the fork of the bike is attached by 2 of those plastic teeth fasteners/clamps (included) - they would have to be cut off. With the main unit taken off, I do not think the clamp and wire is worthy as a thiefs prize.

Q: Can this be used on an indoor spin bike as well as an outdoor bike? just wondering if this computer can be attached to my indoor spin bike and work, to calculate the basic readings time, speed, etc

A: It depends on the type of wheel on the spin bike. So long as the front wheel is a standard bike rim, there should be no issue attaching it to the spin bike. If it does not have a standard bike rim, then the cycling computer will not be compatible.

Q: Is the Odometer programmable Say the battery dies or something else happens and I lose my mileage data, is it possible to enter it like on the previous 21 function version?

A: it is a programmable odometer. You can actually program the mileage/kms that you want on your odometer.
