powerful enough that there is no stress on the motor

I just purchased this drill and so far it has met every expectation I have had. I used it to drill 26 holes, 1/2" diameter 3" deep in concrete and it did the job like it was butter. the drill was barely warm when I had finished. this is one product I would and will buy again and YES will recommend to anyone looking for a top quality drill. THANK YOU!

Bought drill new. On fifth hole i drilled shaft inside drill broke (made way too light). Purchased competitive brand drill in emergency. Returned hitachi drill to place purchased (30 day replacement warranty) for new one. Didn't need to use the drill for about a year so when i used my new one year old hitachi drill it worked for the first 8 holes and then the same shaft on the inside broke. Warranty is now expired. I suggest you buy a dewalt rotary hammer drill instead.
