Excellent Shredder

I love this shredder as it's quiet and does fine cut shredding. I'm disappointed by the fact that I had difficulty using a bag. The bags that I used for my old Fellowes Shredder just tear apart as I closed the shredder drawer. I attempted to use the heavier duty bags that I received with this shredder, and they do not secure very well with the drawer, causing them to fall to the bottom of the drawer. I'm now using the shredder without a bag; however, it can be messy, as I remove the drawer and empty into a bag. I'm also disappointed that this shredder does not shred CDs.

LOVE MY SHREDDER!

I purchased this shredder for an extremely busy small business accounting office over a year ago and I have yet to notice anything to complain about. This is a tough machine! It's able to handle all of our shredding (sometimes it sounds a little mad if we add too many papers at a time), but it has never jammed! This shredder plows through staples and credit cards (we shred our expired ones.) When I took over this position, my predecessor wanted to take the Fellowes shredder home with her as a retirement present. When it ended up failing (after many, many years of use), we purchased this one. I plan on asking for it as my retirement present if it's still going strong! All of my future shredders will absolutely be Fellowes's brand!

I have had the LX220 shredder since November 2020 and it has not jammed or failed ever. It makes the papers into confetti where it cannot be put back together for reading.

Design and Performance are truly excellent, but my shredder came in used. The cable packaging was already torn open and the machine itself was scratched on the side. Disappointing that the company sends used product.
