White Brite Laundry Whitener Powder is a concentrated whitener that helps make your dingy whites bright again. The formula removes yellowing, dinginess and rust stains from laundry caused by aging and hard water. Safe enough to use on all washable white and colorfast fabrics, simply add it along with your regular detergent. The whitener does not contain dangerous acids or abrasives and should not be mixed with bleach or peroxide. Use it to revive your sheets, towels, shirts and undergarments so they look fresh again.

Awesome for whitening whites. Don't get colours mixed in as it will remove all colour. It has a strong chemical smell when pouring in laundry machine but no smell remains on laundry when done.

Q: I've heard about issues with the fumes from this. Is it safe to use for hand washing (where it will only be an arm's length away of course)?

A: This product did not get anything white. I have tried it several times and my white face clothes didn’t look any better, than when they went in dirty! And I sure wouldn’t use it for hand washing! To currosive,need a mask and rubber gloves! A bar of sunlight soap does a better job.

A: Technically yes. Sodium hydrosulphite is a reductive bleaching chemical. Be exceptionally careful when using on anything with colour. If it doesn't remove the colour, it will create a tye-dye bleached effect.

A: While bleach and White Brite can both be used in laundry to remove stains, there are several differences between the two. OUT White Brite is formulated with a laundry whitening agent to whiten and brighten white laundry. OUT White Brite is specially designed to remove dinginess and yellowing caused by rust stains and other hard water impurities, eliminate stubborn red clay stains and also reverse unfortunate color bleeds. White Brite has a different formulation than bleach as it is formulated with Sodium Hydrosulfite, Sodium Carbonate, Sodium Metabisulfite and Citric Acid. OUT White Brite is not intended for use on colored fabrics and should not be mixed with other chemicals, such as bleach, oxi or peroxide, as bleeding or separation of dye may occur. Finally, White Brite is solely for laundry use and cannot be used like bleach to disinfect surfaces.
