The Bernzomatic® Butane Refill 5.6 oz cylinder is designed to quickly refuel your Bernzomatic micro torches, lighters, cordless soldering irons, and other butane-powered devices. It has been cold-filtered more than 5 times for purity and features a universal fueling tip for easy refilling. Butane fuel has an in-air flame temperature of 3,150 degrees Fahrenheit.

A: Hi YT2024. WE would recommend that you use Propane or Mapp fuel to solder copper as the Butane may not generate sufficient heat for a successful job.

A: Hi AmpleLady, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately this Butane canister MT150B) cannot be used with camp stoves as it does not have the appropriate fitting to attach to the stove. It can only be used for refilling lighters and torches. Faheem Schroeder

Q: Can this be used for a kitchen torch. Is one of the tips included a universal top? This is the tip needed for kitchen torches

Q: I bought this product, after finishing a can of RONSON butane. I just filled my torch and the flame sputters and goes out. Why? It is totally full of fuel, but still it sputters and goes out. The previous RONSON butane never did this.

A: Hi Bill,Thank you for sharing your concern. Just to make sure you followed the correct steps to fill this torch with the Butane fuel, we would suggest the following procedure: The easiest way to fill the torch is to turn the torch upside down and insert the 5.6 oz Magtorch Butane cylinder nozzle into the torch. Apply firm downward pressure to the cylinder until the fuel shoots back which indicates the torch is full. Turn the torch right side up and allow the fuel to settle for a few minutes before igniting the torch, making sure the fuel adjuster is in the open position. To start you may want to adjust the +/- flame setting to the middle or all the way to the “-“. An extreme cold environment could also affect the torch. If near 0 Celsius, butane has a tougher time to achieve vapor state to ignite. If the torch still does not light, then it could be defective.

Q: Can I use this refill for Ronson cigarette lighter?

A: Yes, item 58-0070 ( Butane Cylinder) can be used to refill the Ronson cigarette lighter, since the tank has a standard metal universal refilling tip, allowing it to mate with the lighter. That is assuming the lighter is refillable and take butane type fuel.
