I néeded to keep the ladder off the roof and it did just that. Just friction fits into the rung holes on the side of the ladder.

R : They just slid into your ladders rung holes. So they maybe troublesome at first ( mine kept slidding out when on the ground ) but work very well and are easy to remove for ladder storage.

Q : does it fit to any size of ladder? I brought one pair, but I can't push them fully inside my 22 ft extended ladder; it only reached half way of the arms. I am afraid that it cannot hold the weight.

R : You have to have a ladder that has round and hollow rungs on it. You insert the ends in each of the top two rungs of your ladder and the round part sits on your roof. They "spring" a little so that is what keeps them in the rungs. It works well to keep the ladder off your eavestrough.

R : Yes, as long as the kit fits the ladder. They will not damage bricks, there is a PVC tube as the protection.
