We purchased this for a small room and with the reviews I had seen thought it was going to be a good buy! I was wrong!! Noisy to begin. Also suddenly turns off or on with no push of the remote! In the middle of the night while sleeping the light suddenly is on and going from dim to bright!! Things possessed! Stay away!!

Love this fan. Nice and quiet. remote works. Instillation was a bit of a challenge. The light could be brighter.

I consider myself pretty good at putting stuff together... but the installation of this fan became quite the little project. Instructions were poor, omiting the addition of certain parts... the kind of part you have to take the whole thing apart to add. Also had to grind down both sides of one of the metal blade attachments. Once four of the five blades were in place... it just would fit. I tried everything I could... In the end, it's a great looking fan, but it really falls short when it comes to lighting. You'll need to add a lamp or two to compensate for how poorly it lights the room. I bought two because of the great price. I'm definitely bringing once back. Even though now I know how it all comes together... The poor lighting is too big an issue for me personally.

First one – several parts missing: exchanged at store for another. Second one – manual does not match ceiling fan design, parts, or assembly method. Manual is terrible, incomplete, inaccurate, lacking proper instructions and full of errors. Light housing is not as per manual and is not compatible with fan housing and/or installation hardware, adaptors, fasteners missing. (Installation manual shows a different design of light housing, different way of attaching to hub on fan). There is no Quality Control sticker, no evidence anyone QA’d this before leaving the factory. Waiting for Noma to send correct parts doesn’t cut it when I am installing in a 17-foot high ceiling from a rented scaffold with daily rental costs accumulating. I had to fabricate my own installation fasteners and technique for the light fixture. Light “bulb” is a custom LED module with only a 1-year warranty (advertised 10-year warranty apparently applies only to the fan motor, everything else is 1 year) and when it dies I very much doubt that a replacement “bulb” will be available. Installation , overall, was very difficult in part due to design of fan including very small space/tolerance inside ceiling cowl for wiring, remote receiver and mounting hardware. This was the worst installation experience out of nine ceiling fans I’ve installed. On a happier note, although I also experienced the loud humming noise reported by another reviewer when first testing the motor without blades installed, part way through installation process, this humming disappeared completely when I installed the blades and completed the installation. The fan is now quiet, and was easy to balance. Also the fan does look nice, mostly good "fit & finish" although the "bronze" finish is very dark, looks like basic black from any distance. Overall I do not recommend this product.

Nice and quiet...remote works great. We have it in our living room and it pushes the wood stove heat around really well.
