This thing is built like a tank — incredibly solid and well-made from top to bottom. The quality is obvious the moment it’s installed. Adjusting the height is amazingly smooth and easy — even my kids can raise and lower it by themselves with no trouble at all. The assembly of the basketball hoop was a breeze to assemble due to the instructions and YouTube link provided. The Basketball Hoop was assembled in just a couple of hours with no issues. The template provided for the installation of the J-bolts and rebar ensured proper alignment of the bolts when placed in the concrete base. The rebound off the backboard is amazing and the rim has just the right amount of stiffness. Adjusting the height of the hoop is done easily with little effort. I would highly recommend this basketball hoop to anyone that is considering the purchase of a basketball hoop. This Basketball hoop will provide hours of fun and will be a part of our family for many years.

With the instructions and video Lifetime has posted onto their YouTube channel, we were able to put this up with no issues at all and within just a couple of hours! The hoop is very sturdy when installed, we poured the concrete ourselves and it turned out great. There are just four j-bolts that you put in the concrete with the rebar when your pour it. With just four nuts and washers you connect the hoop to the concrete which makes it very easy to bolt down. When shooting you will notice how well the rebound is off of the backboard. The rim also has just the right amount of stiffness to it. I would definitely recommend this basketball hoop to anyone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First impressions: -Very solid backboard and rim -Adjusting the height is super easy -Very clean looking basketball hoop -4" wide pole allows for more flex than a wider pole would Installation: -Assembling the hoop was very easy for a single adult to manage. A second was needed when we started on the backboard and rim, with a third only needed when lifting the pole into position for final mounting. -When it came time to mount the actual pole the mounting plates the bolts made it a breeze to get plumb. Despite this, don't skip taking your time setting the J-hooks, rebar and plate correctly in your fresh concrete as there is no second chance. -Installation instructions were pretty straight forward and easy to follow with only needing to examine more carefully twice, most notably for putting the two poles together which you will never get undone even when done correctly. -All of the parts are in punch out sheets which are clearly labeled and organized based on where you are at in the instructions. -Excluding the concrete work, I would plan on spending about two hours to assemble and mount this basketball hoop. Post install: -I am very impressed with how easy it is to raise and lower the hoop. It is so easy my eight year old can do it with ease. Almost too easily. There is a lockout mechanism on the handle and Lifetime includes a lock which we will be using to reduce the chance of younger kids getting injured. -There is some flexing of the pole every single time the ball comes in contact with it. Knowing it was a 4" wide pole to start with we expected as much, but it was enough that when we saw it we immediately started double checking everything to ensure we did not accidently leave anything loose. -The flexing is with the pole itself. It has nothing to do with how it was installed, mounted, or even with it being two pieces wedged together. -If I wanted a hoop to do a lot of dunking with I would consider spending more for the model with the wider pole. -The hoop looks fantastic and compliments the landscaping, providing a nice clean look and great playing experience. -My kids have been having a lot of fun with it already, even if they can't yet agree on the height.
