    This is NOT a cleaner, and streaks horribly.

    This product is advertised as a cleaner and rain repellent, and while it does help lift off grime and does help repel rain quite effectively the label on the bottle is very misleading. If you read the instructions you are supposed to use the product very sparingly and buff it off with a cloth like a wax rather than spray it liberally like a traditional glass cleaner, which makes cleaning heavy grime hard! I made the mistake of spraying it on liberally section by section and it leaves a HORRIBLE "melted fish bowl" glare at night when over applied. I've been trying for WEEKS to get it off. I've tried Windex, Isopropyl alcohol, acetone, NOTHING seems to get this stuff off and even with brand new wipers I still have horrible streaking in some spots on the windshield. This has been a horrible experience and I don't think I'll ever be buying another Rain-X product ever again simply because their misleading packaging has so easily caused a huge problem!

    Hello Ciulster, thank you for your feedback. The Rain-X Cerami-X Glass Cleaner & Water Repellent is intended to clean your windshield while applying a layer of repellency if used as directed. Your experience is an uncommon instance. For best results it is important to ensure the bottle is shaken well prior to use, and the product is applied to your windshield one section at a time wiping clean with a a dry towel to ensure dirt and grime are removed if present. As you noted there is a glare it is important to ensure that if there was a haze after application visible that it is buffed off using a dry towel and perform this not using the same towel that was used to apply. Sorry again for your experience.

    It still left a residue on my windshield! Very difficult to see through in the rain.

    I Ike this product but there is one thing to consider. It works best under heavier rain. In light rain, enough droplets have to accumulate on the windshield for the droplets to bead and run down the glass. AND depending on your travelling speed, the slower you go the less the beads run down the windshield. BUT I did put this product on my exterior rear view mirrors and that was a stroke of genius. Hardly any droplets at anytime which allowed to see very clearly. I would say this product works best on your side windows, exterior rear view mirrors, and your rear glass.
