Good looking barrel. I drilled a hole in the bottom of mine and used it outdoors for planting a tree. I haven't encountered any issues yet.

R : Hello Ronan, The Whiskey planter does not come with drainage holes. The planter has indicators on the bottom of the planter to show you where to drill drainage holes if you require them.

R : Hi ... So, the diameter across the top of the pot is around 20 inches. The pot fans out from the base and the base is smaller than that 20 inches , maybe 12 Inch length represents that, but I can't measure exactly as it is full of soil and plants. I can tell you that the depth of the pot with soil , that is if you took a ruler and shoved it down from the top of the pot to the bottom, or in other words, soil depth would be around 12 inches. Hope this helps.

R : I only grew herbs, and the planters do need to have drainage holes drilled into the bottoms, which is a bit of a nuisance. However, my herbs flourished and I have even managed to over-winter the chives, oregano and parsley.

R : This is only a recommendation if you are growing veggies or herbs. With the product being made of resin, the burlap bag will create a barrier between the material (resin) and the veggies/herbs roots. This product is safe to use for veggies/herbs without the burlap bag but the recommendation is to mimic growing in a garden bed (natural earth container for the plant).
