Personalized Flip 7

Unfortunately the speaker has a very unpleasant odor, perhaps from the personalized printing. Have not used it due to the odor, have had to leave it in the garage hoping that it will dissipate. So far not yet.
I appreciate the option of personalization, however the odor is just not tolerable.
I would return it if possible for just a standard model.

Q : Will this connect to my Extreme 3 with PartyBoost? The features list on this page says "JBL PartyBoost - Yes" but I've read online that Auracast speakers are (annoyingly) not backwards compatible. Which is it?

R : Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We attempted to connect a JBL Flip 7 to another JBL speaker using PartyBoost, and it appears that they are not backward compatible. We will update the feature information to avoid any confusion.

R : Thank you for your inquiry. Our JBL Flip 7 does not float. However, it designed to be waterproof and dustproof. It has a rating of IP68 making it dustproof and immersible for up to 1.5m of water for 30 minutes.

Q : Can this speaker connect to other speakers outside of JBL with aura cast technology? And is it possible to turn the AI and microphone features off?

R : Thanks for your question. Our JBL Flip 7 can not connect to speakers outside our JBL speakers using Auracast. It can only connect to other JBL speakers that support Auracast. Also, the AI Sound Boost is an automatic feature and can not be turned off manually, and our Flip 7 does not have a built-in microphone, so there is no mic feature to enable or disable

Q : Does it come with noise canseling and can you answered an incoming cell phone call with it

R : Thank you for your question. Our JBL Flip 7 does not have a noise cancellation feature. This feature typically found in our headphones and earbuds. Additionally, if you receive an incoming call while playing music through the speaker, the music will automatically pause, and the call audio will play only through your phone, as the speaker does not support speakerphone feature.

Universal Compatibility: It utilizes a USB Type-C connection, which is common and compatible with chargers you likely already have for other devices. This makes charging more convenient, as you won’t need a specific cable. 2. Reducing Electronic Waste: By not including a cable, JBL helps minimize unnecessary accessories. Many users already have extra cables, so this approach helps prevent waste from unused items that could end up being discarded.

R : Thanks for your question. Yes, you can use your JBL Flip 7 while charging, since our JBL speakers have PCM circuits that manage the charging of the battery and will switch the speaker to AC mode.

R : Thanks for your question. With the Auracast feature, you can stereo pair two JBL Flip 7 speakers to enjoy true left and right channels for a wider sound. As for battery, linking two speakers does not drain your phone battery significantly more than usual, the extra battery draw is on the speakers' side, not your phone. The phone simply sends the Bluetooth signal; each speaker powers itself and draws from its own battery.
