Fauteuil Muskoka avec repose-pieds

Disappointed. An Adirondack chair to me is a big comfy chair to get lost in and relax. This, with a weight limit of 200 lbs (you don't know this until you open the box) is small and impossible for anyone large to use. The shape is right, but it is better suited to a Hobbit than anyone over 180 lbs. The pre-assembled footrest is a nice design, but ours was missing a screw. Voila! There was an extra screw in the hardware bag. When I screwed it into the empty hole, I found out to my chagrin that it was way too long, and it came out the bottom. When I went to take it out, the wood splintered and cracked. I had planned on two of these but only had room for one in the car. Lucky me.

I purchased two of these chairs and returned them. They look great BUT: They have a max weight limit of 180 pounds (how do you tell your bigger buddies they cant sit in your chairs. 2nd chair what damaged in the box. Over all I now know why most quality chair are $200+.

I bought 4 of these chairs last summer. I wanted chairs that would fold so I could store them in my basement in the winter. The nicest thing about these chairs is that they are already partially assembled so that putting them together doesn't take too long. I wasn't crazy about the "beverage holder" design - I can't see the advantage of having a round depression in the arm to "hold" your drink - it;s ugly and it spills your drink more often than not as the arm of the chair is no longer a flat surface. But the worst thing about these chairs is that whatever they used to protect the wood, doesn't do it's job. After less than a year all four chairs had big cracks in the arm )the arm with the "drink holder". Other parts of the chairs cracked and almost every part that had been previously assembled was no longer glued together. Although the chairs were stored indoors over the winter, they were wobbly, cracked and the wood had darkened to an almost black colour in parts. This summer, I took them all apart, sanded them and GLUED all the parts together that were supposed to be. I painted them and put them back together. They still can fold and they look great but after ALL the hours I spent on them, I think I could have spend a little more money and found a much better product.

I purchased this chair 9 years ago this summer. It has been out on my deck in the wind, snow, rain and heat and I still use it every day. In the almost 9 years that I have been using this chair I have had to make very few small repairs, as you would with any wood product that is exposed to the elements. The chair was very easy to assemble and therefore very easy to dissassemble to make the needed repairs. All in all I would say this chair has more than payed for itself. I would recomend it to anybody looking to purchase an Adirondack chair.

I bought 2 of these chairs for my patio. Within 3 months, they had fallen apart, literally. Because they are made with cheap pine sections, a large piece of the armrest fell off. This is a terrible product with very low quality. If you have the time to completely re-finish the wood, and pack up the chair everynight to bring inside, then consider this as an option. If you want to leave the chair outside, then it will absolutely fall apart.
