The epoxy never dried on some of the countertop and was dried lumpy on another. When I contacted the company i sent them photos and all they could reply was the info on the procedure sheet. I followed the procedure and I was well aware of the process. I now have to purchase new countertops. Rust-Oleum provided no support only recommended I add a coat. I' seriously will not be buying another box to try and repair what to me is a horrible product.

3rd time I use this, great product

I used this 3 times so far, for a table project and bathroom counters. The finish is smooth, easy to work with. Boost the heat in the house to make it easier to apply. Works well over spray paint.

Not even close to 32 Sq Ft.

Terrible product. You will regret using it unless you plan on around 20 Sq Ft max. Epoxy is quit easy to use and it does most of the work once you spread it out. it just levels. BUT if you use too little it will not and you are left with a wavy mess full of fish eyes. My space was 25.1 square feet and this came up way short. Now I have to redo with another companies product. Waste of time and money.

I used this product on my own countertops. Finish product was incredible! My only complaint was not being able to buy smaller/larger quantities dependent upon the project size. I just bought another batch for a smaller project. The negative reviews I'm reading seem to be more due to lack of experience. I definitely reccomend this product.

Q : Can you start over after completing all the steps? (I am un-happy with the bumpy finish.) If so-can you just apply step 2 over the shiny finish?

R : If after applying the 3rd step and its not smooth you can sand and apply step 3 again for smoother finish. I did not do this as my first application was enough.

R : The Stoneffects Countertop Coating will cover up to 30 square feet. It's best to measure out the length and width of the countertop you plan to coat, to make sure one kit will be sufficient. For a small bathroom vanity, you should have more than enough.

R : The Stoneffects Countertop coating would require the same care and maintenance as a laminate surface. Regular cleaning products are safe for the surface. There is no chemical leeching from this product once it is dry, and it is food safe.

As we have additional step 1 and step 2 product left from 'Countertop Transformations', we are looking for more step 3 product to finish the transformation. Is the Stoneffects product suitable?

R : The Stoneffects Countertop Epoxy is a 2-part pourable epoxy that is very thick (roughly the consistency of corn syrup). The 2-part epoxy in the Countertop Transormations kit cannot be poured on, and must be applied with a special roller. The "thinner" epoxy in this kit gives Countertop Transformations a smooth, polished look. The Stoneffects epoxy is approximately 60 times thicker, and would significantly alter the look of the project.
