Cheap...

You get what you pay for with this. It lights up, and is made of cheap plastic. Light output is minimal at best. I have opted to order a better quality headlight online as I do night riding. This is only good for use as a safety light to make you noticeable to drivers. Otherwise you should buy something like a SolarStorm X2 if you want quality light output. I need more than 25 Lumens... I am upgrading to 2000lm now. Happy Riding.

Extremely Good Buy

I do a lot of road biking in the summer, so never really used any lights (don't shun me hardcore cyclists#. However, come winter-time I was ready to spend about $200 on a decent set of lights #which is a lot less than some of the really good ones out there#, but I ended up looking at the shops here and realized I would have to order one in - because I needed it immediately I just bought this one. Blew me away! Even at 25 lumens for the front light it gives plenty of light, works extremely well. Now that doesn't mean it's equal to a better quality, more expensive light, but it does the job VERY well #I'm talking 5am, no ambient road light).

Cheap and Reliable

As other reviewers have mentioned, these lights are easy to install with no tools, and stay stable once attached. The front light is attached with a thick rubber band, so you can easily adjust it up and down, depending on how you want to use the light.
What is not mentioned is that both lights have quick release attachments, so you can quickly slip the lights themselves off, leaving the brackets on your bike. This is great for deterring theft.
The lights are bright, and operate continuously, or each with two different blinking options. I have used them daily for several months, and have yet to replace the aaa batteries that power them. I have even accidentally left the rear light on all day in continuous mode while I was at work, and it still flashes just as brightly. Batteries NOT included!

The mounting system for the front light is actually quite clever. Time will tell if it holds up over time but they do give you a spare thick rubber band connector. I've used light attachments before where you use a nut & bolt to attach the light to the frame. The problem is the plastic is so thin that you're limited to how tight you can secure it without the bolt punching thru. Although not as ingenious, the rear light can also be attached without any tools. One negative is that the front and rear light only come in a white housing so they may not match or blend in with most bike colours.

R : Tool-free LED Headlight Instructions No tools required for assembly. Assembly 1. Align the brackets on the bottom of the headlight with the brackets on the headlight mount. 2. Slide the headlight into the mount until you hear a click. 3. Insert the black mounting band into the slot located at the back of the headlight mount. 4. Wrap the black mounting band around the bottom of the handlebar and insert the opposite end of the band into the front slot. Use Press the function pad on the top of the headlight for the desired light. • For a steady light, press the pad once. • For a steady flashing light, press the pad twice. • For a rapid flashing light, press the pad tree times. Replacing the Batteries 1. Slide the cover off the headlight by pressing down and pushing on the cover. 2. Insert three AAA batteries. 3. Slide the cover back on the headlight until it clicks into place. No tools required for battery installation. Attach the Tail Light Assembly 1. Wrap the tail light mountint ring around the bicycle seat post. The holes of the ring should be facing away from the seat post. 2. Insert as many shims as necessary between the ring and the seat post. 3. Insert the mounting bracket and mounting ring. 4. Fasten the mounting ring and bracket by fastening the nut on the opposite side of the mounting screw. 5. Slide the tail light up into the bracket until it clicks into place. Clip-on Tail Light 6. Pull the clip back and attach the tail light to the material. Check and make sure the light is secure. Use Press the function pad on the bottom of the tail light for the desired light. • For a steady light, press the pad once. • For a steady flashing light, press the pad twice. • For a rapid flashing light, press the pad tree times. Replacing the Batteries 1. Remove the tail light cocer by inserting a flat tool (such as a screw driver or coin) into the cover slot and twist the tool until the cover comes off. 2. Insert two AAA batteries. 3. Snap the cover back into place.
