Beautiful table but not worth full price

I bought my table in 2016 and the staining was done so well that it didn't notice the small patches until 6 months later when the seams started separating. I checked the 2017 model and it's the same quality. Keep your receipt in a safe place, it has a 1 year warranty - unfortunately I couldn't find my receipt to return it.

The table is made from reclaimed teak. The patches you refer to are there to correct blemishes in the teak. Occasionally the patches can separate. However this is rare. Please send me a picture of your table.

Beutiful Table

The Canvas Tribeca Teak Patio Table is a beautiful table that fits indoors or outdoors. The table's finish was a perfect fit for our inside home decor so we used it as our dining room table as opposed to outside patio table. It assembled in minutes and was ready to use! The table is large enough to fit 8 people comfortably.
The table's colour will change over time to a more grayish tint or you have the option of sealing it at the colour tone you find works best.
Everyone who sees the table falls in love with it right away!

Strong and Sturdy

This is a heavy table that will get the job done. It seems to be a strong table that is easy to set up and adjust the legs. Be careful, as mentioned by another reviewer, regarding the table top. Mine also has the "patched wood top". This table will not move in the wind but the top looks inferior due to the "patched wood". Image shows patched wood in many places (1st, 3rd, 6th and 10th board from the left and bottom) and a deep gouge from factory (bottom centre - 6th board from left). If not used under a gazebo, you will need an offset umbrella to create some shade, may be difficult to place. Many people can fit around this table (6 people quite comfortably). I like this table but one star for patched look and expensive price. If I had a NON patched wood look, maybe 4 stars but price is still high.

I would to explain the patches in the table top that you refer to in your review. The table top is made from FSC certified reclaimed teak. As it is reclaimed, it does have some blemishes in it. When we make the tops, the blemishes are cut out and a patch is put in to give the boards a smooth surface. The patches are glued with a marine laminate glue that is very strong and waterproof. The advantage of using reclaimed teak that is FSC certified is that we are not cutting trees down to make the tables. The reclaimed teak has a very distinctive grain and no two pieces are alike giving each table top a unique appearance.

Very attractive and functional

I bought this table and had it for a year. It looked beautiful on my deck. The teak is lower grade and does have patches. I didn't mind. I believe the patches are because it is FSC certified reclaimed teak and I am happy that my table probably has less impact on our forests. I made sure the teak was well oiled and covered for the winter, it still looked very new after a year of use. I received many complements on the table. I think it is good value for the price. Sadly, we had a roof avalanche that crushed the table. The aluminum frame bent and broke. I am not sure if a stronger table would have survived. The table top was not affected.....so it is certainly strong!
All in all, I am planning to repurchase the same table.

R : We changed to aluminum legs this season because mixed materials is a big trend for outdoors and aluminum requires no maintenance. The full teak table is still available to order in our Special order program and online under product #88-1688.
