Batterie Li-ion Mastercraft,12 V

This battery has been discontinued at Canadian Tire but don't throw your tools away, save your money and the environment! These batteries are identical to the ones used in a set of very similar looking line Craftsman tools so there are still options available. A Cameron Sino CS-CFT320PX aftermarket battery from online sellers works just fine with the original Mastercraft charger and tool. Note that the replacement battery contacts are a bit stiffer requiring more insertion force into the charger but it pops firmly/precisely into place. The charger will not behave correctly if the battery is not fully seated, press firmly. The battery slips effortlessly into my Mastercraft hammer, love the profile of it for tight spaces versus more bulky palm nailers.

I got the Cordless Multi-Crafter 054-1292-0 as a gift some years ago, used it once to cut the bottom of door trim to make room a new floor install. Worked great, saved taking the trim off to cut it. Sat on the shelf a long time until recently, got it out to use to do a similar job. On the first cut, there was a loud pop (battery I think) and the motor quit. The charger would only make a ticking noise (relay?) with the battery plugged in, then quit. Seems the battery is discontinued so I can't even try one. This expensive tool is useless.

this review is based on the fact that i have the mastercraft drill that uses this exact battery, the price of this batterry is a bit high 30 bucks ok 40.00 a bit much, now it does perform very well , and seems to last a fair bit of time depending on how hard your driving the tools they use .as is the same with all battery tools, i like the fact this is a light weight battery and it does not interfear with the work area .. unlike most cordells tools the batterys even just as light seem to be bulky, this battery does deliver good run times over all, and recharges in 30 min on average..also never run down li-ion batteries compleatly as this can harm the battery. li-ion batteries do not hold a memory so your always getting a full charge even if you recharge a 1/2 to 3/4 depleated battery, and always top them off before you store them as this gives much longer life to, I also like the pressure lock clips that lock and unlock the battery from the tool. given that the cordless tools always seem out last the batterys it would not hurt to get a second charger and a few extra batterys, which you can get for the tools that master craft sells that use this battery but all cordless tools fall under this if you gota good tool i see no reason to not buy extra chargers and batteries expecially if you use the tool a fair amount.. this would help give much longer life to the batteries to if you have extras.. thanks for taking the time to check out my review on this battery .

Around Christmas time we picked up the Saw/Drill/Flashlight kit that came with three of these batteries in it and they are just incredible. The hold their charge forever - we have one that we left for over a month and popped it in the drill and it seemed like we had just pulled it out of the charger! Extremely powerful - These aren't the 12volt batteries of old. The drill and the Saw seem to have unlimited torque from these tiny powerhouses Light - Working with cabinets I often find that the drill has to be above my head one handed for drilling/driving and this battery has been an arm saver. I can work all day without the fatigue my 18v was giving me - and this battery seems to give me more power! Overall an excellent battery powering a really good series of tools
