The Golfgreen product has a good name and what I purchased was fresh stock. The application was easy and the product was not clumped due to aging in the bag, in a warehouse. I have great expectations to see my lawn rejuvenate come spring.

R : Thank you for your question regarding the spreader settings for your Scotts HandHeld Spreader. Place enough material in the hopper to cover 1,000 sq. ft. Place the spreader setting on a low setting. Spread the material over a 50 x 20 ft. area. If material is left over, they need to increase the setting, if there is no material left, then decrease the setting. While this is not a scientific method for getting the spreader setting, it will get them in the ballpark for their product or spreader. If you have any more questions, give us a call at 888-270-3714.

R : We switched to a Phosphate Free formula in 2010- this is the 3rd fall with phosphate free product. We cannot with 100% certainty say that there are 0 bags left of the old product with phosphate left at store level, but it is highly unlikely. Note- The images and product information online are incorrect. We will get them updated.

R : All C-I-L Golfgreen lawn fertilizers, including 59-2379 Golfgreen Fall Lawn Food, are considered 'Apply & Play'. Simply put, it means we recommend that you keep other people, children and pets off the area while you are applying the fertilizer, but once it is down, and the dust has settled, it is safe for all to return to the area. The fertilizer should always be applied to a dry lawn. It may be watered in but it is not required provided the proper coverage was achieved. If it is applied to a wet lawn it should always be watered in to ensure that the individual prills of fertilizer are taken down into the soil, and not left sitting on the blades of grass.
