Worked once, then clogged after less than an hour of it being stationary. When it did work spray was spotty at best. More for furniture work or smaller projects. Not for ceiling or wall coverage. You get what you pay for with this one.

We're sorry to hear about the clog. There is a vent hole on the side of the pick up tube, when it's clogged air will flow but paint will not spray. Call our technical support staff for quick help getting it working again at 1-800-328-8251.

Works Great!!

I've had a Wagner Power Sprayer 4.2 GPH p/n 0285050 since 2005 and it finally gave up the ghost. Having over 300 balusters to paint, I bought a cheap branded sprayer. What a mistake! It took me over 5 hours to partially paint 60 balusters, having to constantly unclog the device. I went out and bought this device and the day was saved! It took me less than 10 minutes to finish up the 60 pieces. Read the manual carefully and you won't have any problems at all with material flow and spray pattern. Cleaning the device is also quick and easy. Thanks again, Wagner!

It’s just OK

Bought it last weekend and used it to paint my interior doors. When I sprayed the paint, it was really splotchy. Overall, the coverage was great, fast and easy.

Liked it, BUT....

Bought this to do ceilings that were being retextured. I have a lot of experience with airless sprayers, having sprayed numerous exteriors and interiors of newly built homes. The overspray inside is toxic. So, I decided to purchase a Wagner PaintReady Station HVLP sprayer for my ceiling project. It took a big of getting use to as the material does not come out as strong or fast as an airless. Glad I needed to shoot primer first.
The result was pretty good, but did have some clogging issues. First, I simply brushed dried paint away from the tip and that worked for awhile, but then I needed to break down the tip and brush it out good.
I also tried it with some heavy exterior latex and the sprayer just didn't have enough umph to push it through.
I definitely recommend wearing a mask while painting -- at leas indoors. Also, I found you cannot leave it too long without spraying as things clog up and require breakdown and scrubbing.
Finally, Wagner does not list the PaintREADY Station on their web site. You have to search for it. I suspect it has been replaced by another model.

Most inconsistent sprayer I’ve ised

Probably the second worst sprayer I’ve owned. It has by far the most inconsistent spray available. Once you set the spray it works great until you take your finger off the trigger. Next time, splatter everywhere. I always thin my paints regardless of what the instructions say, but it doesn’t matter. You’ll get one good line and the rest you have to hit with a roller or brush. Defeats the purpose of the gun. To be honest, I just bought it to do the trim and doors in the house. But it’s not even worth the time or effort. Terrible product. Will never buy wagner again.

The iSpray nozzle on the Paint Ready is set up for painting walls, fences and decks without thinning latex paint. For your trim and doors you should add the Detail finish nozzle, part #529013 or look at our Flexio HVLP as they come with both nozzles. R : The PaintReady can spray some gritty paints but it can be tricky. It could build up quickly around the nozzle causing it to clog. Or, it could just clog outright too often to make it worthwhile. The grit will also wear the nozzle out quicker than normal. It's worth a shot, thinning will help but it may not work. For further information give us a call at 800-328-8251, have a great day!
