I used this saw to cut trim and baseboards. the saw worked like a charm with no issues. It's very light and compact.The laser was a nice touch because my old one did not have this feature. The dual bevel feature was also nice because I didn't have to move the long boards just adjust the saw.

Bought this saw to lay flooring..have used it for my living room, bedroom and kitchen flooring, have cut trim and molding with it, used it to cut decking..easy to operate and did a great job. Only issue I've had is with the laser..it gave out after the first use but other than that-great product

I bought this saw as I have an entire house to renovate. Opened and used, made about 20 cuts, seemed to be ok even though its extremely hard to calibrate 100%. Then the handle cracked and this means you cannot change the angle of the cut. Returned and exchanged for another one, upon calibrating the same issue with the handle.
Returned the saw for store credit and am looking into other options before buying another saw.
DO NOT BUY THIS, it seems like a good deal but it will fail on you!

Q : Is this a compound mitre saw? That is, does the blade tilt off vertical as well as swivel left and right in order to cut crown moulding, picture frames, etc.?

R : Yes it is a compund mitre saw but do not confuse it with a sliding compound mitre saw as this saw does not slide.

Q : Can you actually buy a 12" replacement blade? I did read to contact C/T and intend to follow up by phoning but have also read where it has a non standard arbor (5/8 as opposed to one inch) and replacement blades do not exist.

Q : How do I keep sawdust from getting behind behind laser lens? The little box keeps getting filled with sawdust, so I can't see laser line projection.

R : The intention of the plastic cover over the laser was intended to keep sawdust off of the light. However, recent comments and further testing has shown that over time it does the opposite, i.e. it creates the situation that you are experiencing. We have updated our design and are no longer including the dust cover on future production of these items. We recommend that you remove your cover and it will be much simpler to keep the light clear of debris.

R : Your saw is an older version of the 12" dual bevel mitre saw. You can call the Customer Service number provided with the saw and request an adaptor to change the mount to accept a 1" bore hole. As to CT blade options provided, we are not the Supplier of the blades, you would need to post your question against a 12" replacement blade. But we suggest, your better option is to request the adaptor as this will provide a more permanent solution to blade replacement.
