Ce produit prétend être imperméable, mais ne l'est pas du tout, une simple averse et tout sont contenue est mouillé. Très déçu.

I did get this product on sale and because of this I am pleased with the results. It is most definately NOT waterproof or even water resistant. This bag got wet the first hour it was on the car and I literally poured the water out of it. Other than the leaking problem which is easily solved with gargbage bags, it is a good product.

This carrier was used for the first time during our trip to Florida. I was hoping to save some space in the back of the SUV. What a mistake.
The zipper broke on the third day of our drive and I had to tape the opening. In addition, the black coating on the inside on the carrier flaked off and covered everything inside. I was forced to buy another carrier (from a different company) for the trip home. That one worked very well.

Leaks!!! wore out after 1 trip

We bought this on sale .....the very first trip we took all the inside plastic/rubber wore off. There was all this black plastic rubber all over our stuff. it is no longer water resistant. You have to place everything in plastic bags....and then when you remove it there is a pool of water in the bottom. It does a great job of keeping water in it if you want to use it as a water container :)

Great price ($50) and solved a major storage crisis for us. Compared to $500 + for around the same volume in a hard shell, I'm very happy. Quality is what you'd expect from Thule, good quality material and workmanship. Fit was a breeze.

Q : Will this work with sidebars only? I have an SUV that has sidebars that run from the front to the back. I do not have crossbars. Would I still be able to use this product?

R : Honestly, I wouldn't put anything in it that you don't want to get wet. Both of the ones that I have were soaked inside after a 6 hour drive. Thumbs down.

R : If you look in the picture you can see that it attaches to the cross bar. I just bought it and haven't had much time to look at it, but I'm sure you can adapt a kayak strap to hold it down (the kind that hooks under the door frame). However, you probably shouldn't do it because of the strong force that this would encounter at highway speeds due to its large area. So my answer is NO, but if you want to test it out, I'm sure it can be done. Although I think that once you're done tying it down properly it defeats the purpose of having an accessible, neat carrier.

R : it's not totally waterproof. it's not bad, but in heavy downpours, and freezing, sloppy weather, the gear inside, especially up front, can get wet. be careful in freezing weather, as the insides flaked off after only 2 trips
