We had a similar garage heater we used until it burned after of years of use, so we got what we thought was the same one but unfortunately it is very noisy, much more noisy than last one.

MASSIVE FIRE Hazard mine Blew Up in Second year

Seemed to work well, until it Blew Up during the second year of use.
Large blue arch and scarey explosion noise, witnessed by me and an colleague, followed
by horrible smell. Glad we quickly unplugged otherwise left alone this product could have
started a fire. DO NOT PURCHASE this item or brand. Very Dangerous. Where is Canadian tire or the merchant for some assistance? this product has failed its safety obligations.

R : I would not recommend placing this heater on a wood floor. It is designed to be suspended from the wall/ceiling bracket. It needs air flow beneath it and would likely damage your floor and potentially cause a fire.
