The main pump is ok,( not great just ok) but fhe float on the pump run by the battery is less than adequate, doesn’t activate properly or shut off properly, way to much money , and not that reliable, would not recommend! Had it installed by a plumber so it is not just a Jack of all trades installing.

Good backup

The system is relatively easy to install, but the instructions are hard to read. Have tested it once, and it seemed to run fine, pumping water at a very slow rate, but effective over the long haul. glad to have it as a backup.

Good Simple system with a 12volt backup.

While my unopened box had a missing manual and the 12volt pump was missing it's connector end to the battery control box, I still think this is a good system if you do not have a huge rise to pump out of.
This was a very Quiet Pump and made less noise than the more powerfull pump I replaced with it.
You will find assembly simple but cords for the 12volt pump is pretty short the 12volt sensor cord uses a 3.5mm mini jack so finding an extender should be easy. for the moment I put the battery close to my sump until I make extensions for it. Really all sumps that protect property should have a battery back up, I am running 2 120 volt pumps And the 12volt battery back up after a failure cost me a lot of damage.

R : I wondered the same thing and was going to adjust it but then I read the manual. The manual says it must be on this angle to prevent airlock. So I left it alone.

R : It comes PARTLY assembled Mine was missing the wiring manual and the connector that plugs into the 12volt control box. You need to wire and assemble the Control box for the 12volt pump to the battery box and battery, no completely straight forward but simple enough if no parts missing. the provided wire length is pretty short for both pumps you may need to extend it I did.

R : The Primary 120 pump has 2 cords that are standard 15 amp ac socket the Switch plugs into the pump so this uses 1 socket. The 12volt pump has a built in battery tender charger 2 keep the car or marine battery up to the task so the adapter also needs a 110/120 plug The 12 volt with mine should rairly need to pump unless there is a power outage and it is not super powerful. In a super deluge and no power Im not sure if it could keep up but better than nothing.

R : The car battery will work but only for a while and a deep discharge can hurt a car battery. Car batteries are for starting motor cranking amps, not full discharge/drain. What is best is a deep cycle battery. Not all marine batteries are deep cycle so have a close look at what you are buying.

Q : Why is there water spraying from base of pump, at end cycle? Is this a relief valve? Water sprays from base of my pump, at end of cycle, just as switch is returning to original position. Is this normal?

R : Yes, it is normal. When the pump run, the impeller is pushing the water to the pump discharge and the water is under pressure. As soon as the power is cut-off, the impeller stop to run and the water remaining under pressure into the pump body flow back into the sump pit.

R : There is no alarm on the pump. The back up pump kicks in automatically in the event of a power failure or if the primary pump is overwhelmed.
