I have had this drill for about ten years now and it has never failed, until recently. My trigger is now inoperable. Both modes are a live as soon as I plug it in. It requires a bit more attention when placing the bit. It is my intention to continue using this unit. I would just like to replace the trigger.

I bought this hammer drill to drill holes in sandstone for rebar for my house build. On hole number 7 the drill motor burned out. Total drilling time of less than one hour and I even let the drill rest for two hours after the first three holes, each of which took 5-8 minutes to drill.
The sandstone is soft - substantially softer than concrete - and I was using a brand new Bosch 3/4" masonry/concrete drill bit for 14" deep holes.
I'd not recommend this drill.
Likewise, I bought a Mastercraft mud mixer drill and the chuck flew off with a broken internal screw while mixing paster. Total running time of about 4 hours. Again, rubbish. I should have bought a Makita.
Very disappointed in Mastercraft quality. It used to be good but over the last 10-15 years the quality has gone massively downhill. Now I'd not trust the brand and won't buy any of their power tools in the future.

Great performer

I purchased this drill years ago to drill tapcon holes in concrete to finish the basement rec room. This beauty did well over 100 1/4" holes and dozens of 1/2 holes for lag bolts.
Boy was I sore this drill does not lack for power.
The weight of the of the drill is as expected for what it is and is not to bad even to use as a normal drill for wood work.
Recently used it with a 3/4" auger bit in wet PT to anchor the deck to the footings. Again no issues.
The case is great, wish more tool had sturdy cases. The drill bits provided are easily the first thing to replace.
all and all an amazing deal on sale.

L'outil est pesant et le poids est tout à l'avant. Le poids étant mal répartit, ça rends les tâches répétitives ardues et pénibles. La manipulation est brusque. Les boutons des différentes fonctions sont difficiles à engagés et nécessite souvant de repositionner le mandrin. Je vous recommande plutôt la DeWalt 7A, beaucoup plus légère et de meilleure qualité.

No go

Not able to drill even a small hole properly.
Lots of power(will twist your arm if not careful) and nothing happens.
Junk, simple as that. No wonder they are always on sale.

R : definitely. but i've only kept it mixing with continuous spin for about 3 to 4 minutes before taking a break with it for several minutes. but i used to have one that smoked after about 45 seconds. this one actually has not stated smoking on me yet. and i use almost every day sometimes

Q : What is the maximum torque? Does the torque exceed 65 foot-pounds, so that I can use a 65 foot-pound torque stick to install wheel lug nuts? Comparing the amperage and rpm with other models, which have torque specs, would suggest yes.
